Philosophy of Management – an embroiled field


This is another question only for managers and above. But, it is not like this, it implies to every working professional. Management itself is a big tangled field, where people have option to work effectively or without. Many do work and give best output while working effectively with proper management though many do not excel as per the expectation.

Rules, Conditions and criteria:

Every company and organization takes different attention from managers and other top level assistant managers. And every manager and top level people will have their own perception and thoughts to work with excellence. There is no way, that fixed rules and management type will lead you towards success in any work. There has to be a criteria and conditions, based on that the techniques are to be tailored and followed up accordingly.

My experience:

My management philosophy was a lot different than my competitors because I gave more emphasis on certain areas that no one else did. I learned a great deal and found that leading by real life example is a strong way to influence directs to work diligently. And, indeed it works this way better than any other ways. Following my present job roles, I want to have more opportunities to have my hand full of responsibilities and projects to learn and know more about project management. And, I also give importance to develop a model of my own where I can have flexibility to mould the steps to attain the planned activities.

When management paralyzes:

Management paralyzes, when there is no change as per the trend and it is being used again and again with different batch of people. It is of utmost importance to amend the rules and regulations to meet the present goals of the organization.

There are several situations when management goes paralyzed:

  • Due to less interaction between managers and employees
  • Due to less motivation among peers
  • Due to ego between peers
  • When there is no praise and perks being given to employee for his or her achievement
  • When there is no interest being shown by employer towards the welfare of their employees
  • When there is no common rules and regulations for employees
  • When there is no hike based on the skill sets, and experience and education.
  • When there is no bonus being shared among employees as per the rule.

There could be so many other reasons for any of the organization to collapse with their management system.

There is always something new to learn and know from experience and change. Change is must to grow and become more powerful in your profession.
